Discreet mode
Updated 5 November 2026
At work, on a train or anywhere others can see your screen, Erozyx can hide what is on the page. Discreet mode is the “Hide NSFW” switch: it blurs every thumbnail and title and pauses the player, at once or by itself when you step away.

The eye in the header
The eye at the top of every page blurs thumbnails and titles in one click and pauses a playing video. The same eye, or the B key on a computer, shows them again. On a phone, tap the eye.
Off, On or Auto
- Off — thumbnails, titles and the player are shown; the eye hides them whenever you want.
- On — every page opens already blurred, from its first moment, until you switch the mode off.
- Auto — the page looks as usual while you use it and blurs by itself when you step away.
Pick the mode under “Hide NSFW” in the menu at the top of the page. This browser remembers your choice; with an account, it goes with you to every device you sign in on.
How Auto works
Auto counts the time since you last moved the mouse, pressed a key, touched the screen or scrolled. After a while without any of these, the page blurs, and your next move brings it back. A video that is playing counts as you being there. When you leave the tab for a while and come back, the page is blurred as well.
Auto waits 30 seconds unless you choose 1 or 5 minutes: with an account, under “Appearance”.
When the page is blurred
Thumbnails and titles are blurred, and the player waits behind a dark panel, paused and silent. A strip under the header says that the page is hidden and offers to show it. With On chosen, on a video page “Show” uncovers just the player, while “Show all for now” uncovers the whole page.
At work or on a shared screen
- Choose Auto: the page blurs by itself whenever you step away.
- Choose On when the screen can be seen at any moment: every page then opens blurred.
- Press B or click the eye before someone comes close; on a phone, tap the eye.
What discreet mode does not do
It changes what the page shows, nothing more. The name of the page in the browser tab, your browser’s history and its suggestions stay as they are; for those, use a private window of your browser. To keep the site away from children: Parental Controls.
Common questions
Does discreet mode need an account?
No. It works in any browser; an account only keeps your choice on every device you sign in on.
Why did the page blur by itself?
Auto is on, and for a while you did not use the page or were in another tab. Move the mouse, press a key or tap once to bring the page back.
Does a blurred page keep playing the video?
No. While the page is blurred, the player is paused and silent.
